Although I currently read a lot of independent, small press, and mainstream comics, DC Comics remains my absolute, hands-down favorite publisher. My first comic was Superman #9 which my mom bought me in September of 1987. This issue was written and penciled, of course, by John Byrne. The cover pictured the Joker's head on Superman's body with the obligatory Joker "Ha! Ha!'s!" smeared across the background. Byrne titled this issue "To Laugh and Die in Metropolis." It was my first introduction to super-villains. Since I read that comic at age six, I have always gravitated toward story lines and strong DC villains.
All of the pieces in this gallery are DC villain-centric. The gallery is separated into many categories ranging from independent artists to professional DC artists, to original art and jam pieces.
Thank you very much for viewing my gallery. If you have any questions about any of this pieces, please feel free to contact me via e-mail on this site. Enjoy!
