Description

Although Cat-Man debuted in Holyoke Publishing's Crash Comics in 1940, his popularity (such as it was) took off in issue #5 of his own series (December 1941), when he was joined by his youthful assistant, Kitten. Katie Conn fought crime alongside her guardian and mentor (and in her own backup feature in Cat-Man Comics) until Holyoke disappeared from the scene in 1946. Pinup maven Gene Gonzales gives Kitten a touch of ferocity to balance her winsome cuteness.
