Description

Everyone into the wayback machine! The latest and greatest from the pulchritudinous pen of Mighty Mitch Ballard!

I'd seen this ad pop up many times over the years and knew that there was something in it that I wanted. I mean, not knocking the Titans but I've never really been a fan of the Outsiders. I'd come across it again a few months back and the image of the original earth monsters as Doom's Servo-Guards popped into my head and I knew what this would be :) I was just pleased to see how the line-up's in the Avengers and X-Men synched up. Mitch's idea of how to pair up Toad and Storm was great as was his placement for Kurt. _Very_ happy with this :)

Originally this was just going to be the art itself but once I saw it I knew that it needed to be a "proper" in-house ad and so I headed off to Cuddly Chris Ivy for some of his magnificent lettering work. I am doubly happy :)

Full props and many thanks, as always, to Mitch and Chris :)

You've "never really been a fan of the Outsiders"? That does not compute. But, the Avengers are a suitable substitute I guess. Nice stuff.

This is GREAT!! Brings back so many fond memories of when cross-overs were simpler and one could enjoy a story without having to buy ever book in the Marvel Universe. Bollard did a fantastic job. Thanks for sharing.
