So, they had a folder for their corner-box art, eh? Makes sense, since they'd need to have them handy every month to make stat copies for published covers. Who here wouldn't have loved the chance to thumb through THAT folder?

I remember this. It has a feel to it, like childhood. To see all the notes and details really gives you a sense of the nature of this piece. It had a job to do, it existed to not only be beautiful but functional. Great piece. Real sense of history to that one.

In addition to appreciating the historical relevance, one has to admire Layton's art. I think he is way underrated as an artist. Not only is he the best inker on Iron Man of all times, but a fantastic artist in his own right.

Simply superb! How the heck you dig something like this up? When I think Iron Man, no other artist drew him as well as Layton in my opinion because Layton's version was a shiny armor as opposed to Colan or Tuska which is how it should be! A very iconic image!
