Description

So I'm getting ready to leave Friday night, figure I'll make one more swing by Golden's table just to annoy him some more. And just as I get there, who's at his table but George Perez. Perez must have come up and introdued himself even though they knew each other. It was due to the fact that since he was wearing that plain jacket, people weren't recognizing him. He usually wears colorful Hawaiian shirts, and since he wasn't on this day, he actually had people he knows not realize it was him! More silly stuff you only get at conventions. Speaking of...I introduced myself to Buzz, because about a year ago, I had sold a Rick Leonardi Cloak & Dagger page to him on ebay. It was page 18 of the 4th issue of the Limited Series, telling their origin. It shows when they were given the drugs that turned them into Cloak & Dagger. Buzz said the reason he wanted that page as much as he did was because when that book came out, he was about 14, and that page scared the hell out of him! It was his favorite page in the whole series, and he couldn't believe it when he saw it up for sale, and knew he had to have it! Rick Leonardi is one of his favorite artists, as is Michael Golden. He couldn't believe his luck that he got seated next to Golden for the entire weekend. Turns out he collects copies of Dr. Strange 55. Somebody presented him with one while I was there, and he turned to Michael and said "Hey, look, another one!" I asked if he collected them, and said he has over 400 copies of that book now! So if you're going to a show that Buzz will be at, bring him a copy of that, and if you're a fan of Rick Leonardi, mention that to him too. Really cool guy.
