Description

This is it. My pet project finally realized after about two years of searching for an artist just right for it. I always wanted to do a piece inspired by Bruce Timm's Justice League Unlimited but I wanted to change the theme to Marvel's Timely Universe of which I'm pretty fond of. Well, here it is in all it's glory brilliantly penciled and inked by Anthony on huge, thick 15x20 board. The roster contains 24 glorious Golden Agers -- and these guys are ALL legitimate from the era. No retcons here like (Union Jack or Spitfire -- although I have nothing against those characters, just wanted to keep it real). Here we go from Top to Bottom. From right to left and snaking down: Citizen V, Red Raven, Sun Girl, Blue Diamond, Blazing Skull, Toro, Patriot, Thin Man, Namora, Jack Frost, Vision, Thunderer, Black Marvel, Hurricane, Fiery Mask, Miss America, Destroyer, Sub-Mariner, Whizzer, Captain America, Human Torch, Bucky, Angel, and finally Blonde Phantom. I can't say enough about what a tremendous job Anthony did here. I was blown away. Get something from this guy. You won't be disappointed. Stay tuned for Part II of this piece coming soon. It instantly became one of the top 3 favorite pieces I own. It was hard work finding the right artist, doing the research and laying out the look of the piece but it was well worth it. Much thanks to Anthony. I hope you enjoy.

Castrillo did an awesome job on this! I really love it! Just curious, though; If it was inspired by Timm, why didn't you ask him?

Congratulations Jason on commissioning an outstanding idea!
The Timely characters have long-been ignored since the Invaders, and seeing Castrillo's exciting interpretation of the whole gang only whets one's appetite for more!
