This is the Original Art for the CLASSIC Cover of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Annual #1 (Aug. 1983) featuring the JLA vs. Dr. Destiny! This Cover was drawn by Rick Hoberg (pencils) and Dick Giordano (inks) and is autographed by both artists along the bottom border. If you look closely, you'll notice that Dr. Destiny's giant finger was slightly repositioned on the published comic book (see "additional images").

TRIVIA NOTE: This issue was the first JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA "#1" to be published since JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #1 (Oct.-Nov. 1960) - and that seminal first issue was MISSING the "#1" on the Cover!

Justice League of America - created by Gardner F. Fox, Mike Sekowsky and Julius Schwartz.

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA is copyright (c) & trademark DC Entertainment.

There is nothing quite like a cover to a number 1 issue. Being Justince League from this great era of comics is just gravy!

I like how they used the chess board to tie it back to the very first JLA cover.
