Description

Marvelman or Miracleman is the same, the fact is that in these three books ( A Dream of Flying, The Red King Syndrome and Olympus ) Alan Moore gives a new and definitive return of nut to the superhero genre. He uses a few characters created by Mick Anglo in 1954, which were a clear plagiarism of Captain Marvel ( also known as Shazam ) and he makes evolve them from a youth level up to an extreme realism, where every action has real consequences although the intentions are good, showing that even the supermen can wrong. In fact the first confrontation between Kid Miracleman and the protagonist are settled with thousands of deaths and the fact to spare the life to the young Jonathan Bates, life flows in a new massacre that culminates with the terrible scene in which he is forced to kill him. In this work not only there is action, also are made some interesting reflections on the superman, Moore raises him to us like a God, a God who feels responsible for the world and therefore that must transform it to image and similarity of himself, even is necessary to do it by the force, and without remorses because he is over the good and of the evil.

Although Miracleman is not an easy reading, (coverall the third book) it is an intelligent, original and full of ideas and that it should be a reading forced in all the schools next to books as Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche. The art measures approximately 15x20 inches, and it is drawn and inked by a young Alan Davis. Thanks Sean for making this possible.

Shazam, eh...no...Atomic, sorry no...Kimota!

Shazam, eh..no... Atomic, perdon no, Kimota!.
