1. Please tell us a little about yourself.

I'm Irish, based near Austin, Texas, and work for a major IT company. I was born in 1969 and grew up an avid reader of 2000AD and Warlord. In my teens I was a keen artist and used to copy the works of the great UK illustrators, mainly Rodney Matthews and Jim Burns. I still have some of those copies framed on my walls, although I don't paint any more. I collect both comic art and painted illustrations, though my focus these days is almost exclusively towards Illustrative art. Having said that I'd love to own some more Ian Gibson (Halo Jones, Robohunter) art, but I'm having trouble tracking him down these days.

2. Which is your favorite piece in your gallery?

My favorite piece is "Embarkation", by Rodney Matthews, though "All Flesh is Grass" by Chris Moore is a close second.  Rodney almost never sells his originals, so I was lucky he agreed to paint this commission for me.  Rodney is one of the greats of UK fantasy illustration, and I hope in time he will decide to sell more of his original artwork.  Nobody paints believable spaceships more than Chris Moore, and "All Flesh is Grass" is a classic favorite of mine.

3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?

I've been collecting original art since 2004 and I started because I wanted to own some original pages from the comic I read growing up as a kid.  Ian Gibson is one of the best 2000AD artists ever, and since I liked his style I decided to concentrate on his work initially.  Since 2006 I've mainly collected original illustration art, focusing on British artists: Chris Moore, Geoff Taylor, Jim Burns, and Rodney Matthews.

4. How do you display/store your collection at home?

I frame all my art, and although wall space isn't an issue, I can't hang it in about half the house because of the strong Texas sun! I'm just at the stage where I'll have to start rotating my collection.

5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?

I really want to own some paintings by Tim White, and add to my Chris Moore and Rodney Matthews collection.  So if anybody out there has some to sell or trade just let me know!
