1. Please tell us a little about yourself.

I live in the UK, just north of London, and will be 40 at some point in the summer. I love my sport, of which rowing has been a major part of my life, and I had the good fortune to represent England a few years ago. I love sporting challenges and participate in Endurance mountain bike races and recently ran my first Marathon. I hope to keep doing these sports until the time my body  refuses to take any more pain.

I work in a family business, and also  enjoy movies and music, and of course the addiction that is Comic art collecting.

2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?

Picking my favorite is so hard, so here are three of them:
One of my favorites is the Andy Kubert - X-Men Promo piece. Not only does it contain Gambit and Wolverine, but Wolverine is charging out of the page rampaging, just as you would expect.
Another is the Tony Daniel The Tenth #5 cover; quite simply for me this is the best Tony Daniel piece there is, and the level of inking done by Kevin Conrad is incredible.
Finally the Michael Turner Witchblade/Tomb Raider cover; great detail, and it makes the memories come flooding back and the one piece I did not hesitate to think about buying.

3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?

My collection is fairly young as I have been only picking up art in the last three years. My interest in comics began a few decades prior to that. I had looked into the original art  but found it difficult to source in the UK at that time. Since the Internet has been in full swing though, it really has changed art collecting for everyone, and I took the plunge and have not looked back. After seeing a few pieces done by the late great Michael Turner, I knew I had to get hold of the real thing.

4. How do you display/store your collection at home?

I have a number of pieces framed at home, about ten of which I have displayed in a particular room that does not get any direct sunlight. The rest of the pieces are kept safely in an  Itoya art folder.

5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?

This is like being given the keys to the Candy shop, so much to choose from, it is hard to pinpoint, but here goes in no particular order
i- A Jim Lee cover from the Batman: Hush run; I just loved that run it was an instant classic, and Scott Williams inks are just amazing
ii- X-Men Alpha cover - Tim Townsend inked this Joe Madureira cover, and  it takes me back to picking that comic up, and feeling so excited about the upcoming story; an incredible piece.
iii- An Adam Hughes Catwoman piece - I love Adam’s rendition of her and I am a big fan of Catwoman.
iv- Spider-Man by Todd McFarlane -  Most people I am sure would plump for this,  but it would be sweet to have such a piece.
v- Justice League of America #8-10 triple cover by Michael Turner; a great piece, by one of my favorite artists.

There are many more but that is a snapshot.
