Big WOW ComicFest is fast approaching next month! They share an interview with guest artist Nick Bradshaw:

Big WOW ComicFest: How do you feel about coming to the show? Anything you plan to check out while you're in the area?

Nick Bradshaw: Hiya! Looking very much to coming to the show. I'm hoping to have time to be a bit of a geek and meet some of my favourite artists. i plan on hitting a few tables to get a couple sketches for my wall myself.

BWCF: Tell the fans a little about why you decided to become a comic book artist.

NB: I loved the challenge of it. It was a hobby as a kid to escape and make my stories then it just became something more as I got older. Was a big movie buff and enjoyed drawing storyboards from movies sometimes adding in my own scenes. Then I would scribble out my own comic strips.

BWCF: What has been your favorite project or piece you've worked on?

NB: Loved em all, they've all been great learning experiences with their own challenges. I've been the most proudest of Wolverine and the X-Men as It's the longest I've stayed on a title yet and I had mad love for each character.

BWCF: What are you working on now?

NB: Guardians of the Galaxy

BWCF: Anything you want to share with the fans about what they can expect when they meet you at the show, such as what you'll have to sell or any signing or sketching policies?

1. Please tell us a little about yourself.

I have been an avid comic book collector (mostly Golden-Age) since I was five years old, but I did not start collecting original art until around 2005.  I love any covers/pages from comics during the Copper-Age because of all the fond memories certain comics published during that timeframe bring back.

2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?

My favorite piece in my gallery is the Thanos creation piece by Jim Starlin because Thanos has always been one of my favorite villains.

3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?

I have been collecting original for the last nine years. I started collecting art because of the greater appreciation you can have for a beautiful piece of art that is displayed in your home/office, as opposed to a comic book which sits in a box.

4. How do you display/store your collection at home?

I have numerous pieces framed and displayed throughout my home and the remainder are stored in art portfolios contained in a 600lb fireproof safe.

5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?

My top five most desired pieces in no particular order are:

Kelley Jones Batman #492 cover

Any Gil Kane page from Showcase #22 featuring Hal Jordan/Green Lantern

Jim Lee Uncanny X-Men #268 cover

Neal Adams Batman #232 cover

Todd McFarlane Incredible Hulk #340 cover
