1. Please tell us a little about yourself.
I am a 37 year-old, single, French collector who lives in Paris. I have been reading French, American, and even Spanish comic books for as long as I remember. I have always been fascinated by this kind of art that creates so many universes to dive into and since I am a huge collector, comic art collection is the perfect hobby for me. I work in computers and I am also the co-administrator of the 2Dgalleries.com website on European comic art.
2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?
It's almost impossible to choose only one piece in my collection but at the moment, I am very fond of my Dragon Swarm by Lucas Graciano. This painting is beautiful, the colors, the motion, the light, everything is perfect and it's the last thing I see when I go to sleep since it's on the opposite wall from my bed.
3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
I have been collecting comic art for more than 15 years now. I always have been a huge collector: music, movies and a lot of comics. My friends were also collecting prints and posters of their favorite comics, I decided one day to skip that step and collect comic art instead when I got the chance with my first paycheck. From that moment till now, I have been paying for an original art page while searching for the next one.
4. How do you display/store your collection at home?
I have very few pieces hanged, most are in folders that I browse from time to time and more and more are framed and I switch them to change my view. Everything is in my bedroom at the moment.
5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
1- John Byrne art (X-Men would be the best for me but nearly impossible, but Alpha Flight, West Coast Avengers or She-Hulk would be great).
2- Steve Dillon Preacher page (one with Tulip and Cassidy would be great but any other would do).
3- Ed Benes art (Thundercats or Gen 13).
4- John Buscema Savage Sword of Conan issue #5 art (I love this story).
5- Clandestine Alan Davis art (I love the whole story)
and so many more....
