Dear Comic Art Fan,

If you're like me, you've probably always scratched your head wondering why CAF has only had the Facebook Like option all these years. Trust me, it's been on our To Do list forever, we've just never taken the time to implement it. Now we have! At the top of the each detail page to the right of the artwork title, and also in the lower Social Sharing section, there is now a simple LIKE button with a heart by it. Give it a click to show your appreciation for great artworks on CAF.

This is just a start with how we'll be using this new feature. Soon you'll find a list on the homepage for the most LIKE'd art for the day, and we'll roll those reports down to each person's gallery to show which pieces they own are the most LIKE'd in their collection. We're even planning on sending a weekly email to Premium Members to let them know more stats about their LIKEs, Views, and Comments - basically a weekly summary of all activity on their galleries.

We contemplated replacing the current Gallery Favorite function that is available to all users, but have chosen to leave that in place since it is fairly used by a couple thousand members. If you are a user of this feature and would prefer to have your Gallery Favorite items converted to this simpler LIKE feature, please let us know. You will still be able to browse your LIKE'd items, but you will not have the grouping feature available to the Gallery Favorite programming.

We have also added a little insight into what your fellow collectors have been up to. What new artworks they've added, the artworks they've commented on or LIKE'd, and much more. You can see mine at the link - this is linked into the green About The Owner box in a person's gallery.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Bill Cox

1. Please tell us a little about yourself.

I live close to Vienna, Austria and have been retired since 1982 after an accident.

2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?

It's always hard to pick one, but I would have to lean towards the Superman #301 cover done by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez for sentimental reasons and I really like that Solomon Grundy character.

3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?

I've been collecting comic art, I think, since 1990, and wished I had discovered it sooner. I started collecting original arwork after realizing that they were actually cheaper than those lithos by Another Rainbow which I bought regularly at that time.

4. How do you display/store your collection at home?

Some pieces are displayed on the wall but the main part of my small collection is in plastic portfolios.

5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?

A Nick Cardy Legion of the Superheroes cover

A Milo Manara pinup or a panel page from Un été indien

another Yves Thos Barbe Rouge cover

Neal Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow cover

Neal Adams cover with TerraMan on it
