1. Please tell us a little about yourself.
I work as a Human Resources Manager, I have also started podcasting about history and female superheroes at www.heroeswithoutay.com
2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?
My Gene Colan colored Phoenix page. This is one of the few known examples of Colan drawing the Phoenix and I think he captured the dark elements of the character. Colan almost never drew the X-Men so his X-Men pages are very rare. I commissioned the Black Widow piece from him around the same time the Phoenix artwork showed up for sale. I had to buy both.
3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
I started collecting in 2001 when I saw some wonderful Iron Man and Daredevil pages from my youth show up on eBay. I was buying everything for a couple years, now I am very picky about what I will add to my collection. I think we always want the art we saw growing up that made an impression on us. It is only the lack of funds that keeps us from buying more.
4. How do you display/store your collection at home?
I have some of my collection framed and hanging on the walls, others I keep in large portfolio books since I don’t have enough wall space to show all my collection.
5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
Any Gene Colan/Chris Everett pages
Any Gene Colan/Tom Palmer pages
1970s Iron Man pages
