1. Please tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Oliver and I am 48 year old Austrian. I am a producer for television and film, primarily producing documentaries these days but I have also done some VIP society coverage and worked internationally. I also have another company which specializes in the 3D scanning of objects and rare artefacts along with historic buildings and areas of preservation. I live in a rural place not far away from the second largest city in Austria, Graz. My hobbies are collecting stamps, coins and art.
2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?
This Savage Sword of Conan #222 page is still one of my most favorite pieces in my collection.
It has everything in it that John Buscema was known for. Also, this is pencils and ink by Big John. It is extremely rare and is always the best option to view John’s incredible art! Conan, a wizard, a monster and a beautiful girl, what more could you wish more for?
3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
I have been a collector since 1987, starting as a student with some Boris Vallejo prints and then soon acquiring signed Lithos and other original comic art pieces. I like Disney related art (drawings, cels, comic art), caricatures and cartoons from the 19th and 20th century and DC stuff. I’m also keen on acquiring art by inspirational young artists and I always like to display the pieces I have bought.
4. How do you display/store your collection at home?
I have a big house and my pieces are mostly on display behind nice picture frames within mounts. I like to have a museum feeling.
5. What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
Well there are several things I would like to acquire. First, would be an original inked page by Carl Barks, second a Hal Foster page from the forties. Bernie Wrightson is also on my wish list and a Conan cover by Buscema. Don’t ask me for a fifth option, there is just too much,
