1. Please tell us a little about yourself.
Born in 1980, I came to this country in 1985 with my family who was seeking a better life. Growing up I always loved Spider-Man and discovered comic characters in 1990 when my friends introduced me to Marvel cards. This branched into comics which I love reading and collecting even today. Today I work as a pharmacist and am the proud father of two children. I still seek commissions, especially from new artists, and published art with iconic images.
2. Which piece in your gallery is your favorite?
My favorite piece is the Spider-Man/MJ Wedding Poster art by Bill Sienkiewicz. It is a piece I was seeking for a few years, and a fellow collector alerted me to its availability. It fit perfectly in my collection of Mary Jane and Spider-Man art.
3. How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
In the late 90s while attending a comic convention in Philadelphia, I met a few local artists and was intrigued with their art. And so it began. While I collected vintage comics at the time, I also made sure to visit artists at any convention I attended. Since then I have been collecting both published art and commissions. I always loved Batgirl and Mary Jane, so much of my collection revolves around them.
4. How do you display/store your collection at home?
Much of my collection is stored in portfolios, but many of my favorite pieces are framed and hanging in a home office. I love the room and enjoy just looking at the walls of art.
