1. Search Parameter Definitions:
Keywords - Keywords define your search parameters. Enter Artist names, Titles, Characters, etc. If you leave this field blank the search will bring back all results based on the remaining parameters you enter.
Suppression Words - Enter words you wish to exclude from your search results. Do not use commas. An example suppression word grouping might be "Print Litho Lithograph Sketchbook". Experiment.
Price - You have a drop menu to choose either "ALL", "Greater Than", or "Less Than". If you choose either of the last two drop menu options you should specify a dollar amount in the text box beside the Price drop menu.
Date Range - You have two fields to enter a Begin and End Date. Leave the Begin Date open and only enter an End Date, and the search will only search all data prior to the End Date. Enter a Begin Date and no End Date and the search will only return results after the Begin Date.
Sold Status - You have a drop menu to choose either "All Sold/Not Sold", "Only Sold", or "Only Not Sold".
Sort Order - Lets you specify which search result column is the one you return your results by. The default is "Close Date", but any column can be selected.
Order - Based on what you chose in the Sort Order column, this allows you to specify if the results are "Ascending" or "Descending". For example, choose a Sort Order of "Final Bid" and a Order of "Descending" and your results will be returned with the highest "Final Bid" first, and the remaining results will follow based on the "Final Bid" amount.
# Items On Page - Choose the number of results the search returns per page.
Auctioneer - Check the Auctioneers you wish to include in the search. The search will only return results from an Auctioneer if they are checked. All are checked by default.
2. Search Tips:
3. How to use Market Data Guide Categories
Market Data Guide Categories help you organize your search results for quick reference later on. It is wise to create your Guide Categories before you start doing searches because those Categories will be readily available to you to add search results to while you are searching the Market Data. To add items to your Guide Categories, search the Market Data. As you find results that fit the Categories you are trying to build, check the box to the far right of the search result you wish to add. You may select as many results from a result list as you like, but you can only add those selected results to a single Guide Category at a time. Once you have selected (checked) all the results you wish to add, select from the drop menu at the upper right of the search results table the Category you wish to add them to, and click the Add to Guide button. Your selected results are added to your Category and you are returned to the search page.
4. Adding Sales Results to your Personal Sales Guide
Adding sales results to your Personal Sales Guide gives you a way to track sales that you are aware of from venues that we will never be privy to. Private sales with other collectors or Dealers, etc. This information will enhance your usage of our Market Data Search, because you can share your Personal Sales Guide results with results stored in a Market Data Guide Category. This helps give you a better overall picture of the market segment you are trying to monitor.
