Check out this SUPERB "PEANUTS" Sunday strip, which was penciled and inked by the great CHARLES SCHULZ, from the strip dated: January 3rd 1970! This GREAT SUNDAY STRIP features the great CHARLIE BROWN in 9 GREAT panels and Lucy featured in 7 great panels! With this strip being fresh off the 1970's NEW YEAR'S holiday, Charlie Brown has decided to make this 1970 year his BEST EVER and to correct all of his past mistakes! But Sadly, he is completely shot down and crushed by Lucy telling him there is basically NOTHING to live for, as we see a dejected Charlie Brown in a GREAT last panel, with his classic sad faced grin, as he simply throws away his NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION paper! Peanuts strips with SNOOPY, CHARLIE BROWN, and LUCY are always the most desirable Peanuts strips to own.... We have no Snoopy on this one but we do have GREAT banter between Charlie Brown and Lucy! It fascinates me how from growing up in the 1970s as a kid with little money, I had to work on my paper route to have funds to buy all of the comics I loved as a kid. And growing older I was able to buy more expensive comics as I saved my money while in the U.S. Army at West Point from 1985-1989 and I was able to finally buy my very first pages of comic art in 1989 and it has been an unbelievable roller coaster ride ever since that point trying to find the Amazing Spiderman #1-297 pages and Spiderman strip art from 1-3-1977 to 11-9-1980 I love so dearly and covet!!
