Description

GANGWAY for the coolest clone in the DC Universe!!!

This is the CLASSIC Original Cover art for SUPERBOY #1 (Feb. 1994); drawn by Tom Grummett (pencils) and Karl Kesel (inks). The art has been autographed by Tom Grummett along the bottom border.

SUPERBOY ran for 8 years from 1994 to 2002 with 100 monthly issues, plus four Annuals and two Specials.

Superboy (a.k.a. Kon-El / Connor Kent) first appeared in ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #500 (June 1993) during the famous Death of Superman / Reign of the Supermen storyline that rocked the DC Universe to its core. Superboy was a major player in the DC Universe and was affiliated with the Superman Family, The Teen Titans, The Legion of Super-Heroes, Young Justice, The Ravers and Project Cadmus. Superboy was killed in INFINITE CRISIS #6 (May 2006), but he returned to the DC Universe in 2011 via "The New 52!" reboot.

NOTE: Check out the very cool "I think this is a GREAT cover!" editorial notation in the Additional Images below...!

SUPERBOY (classic) - created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
SUPERBOY (Kon-El / Connor Kent) - created by Karl Kesel and Tom Grummett.

I know the costume ( and haircut) is slightly dated but I do have a really soft spot for this version of Superboy. Enjoy
