"In SS #31-32 the reigning team of Buscema/DeZuniga return for another tour de force story. The two-part adaptation of the L. Sprague deCampís novella 'The Flame Knife,' which was based on the plot of an unpublished Howard story. Despite its dubious origins, this particular adaptation is another high-point in Savage Sword history. DeZunigaís superb line inking and highly skilled texturing processes made Buscemaís pages seethe with action and detail ó without letting obsession for details slow him down."

I like how you put it that DeZuniga did not "get lost in the details" embellishing Big John the way (though I loved him for it) Alcala would. But it is still a distinct and full look, with strategic crosshatching, washes and screentones. Also, I love how starkly he inks Conan's hair. It's often just solid chunks of black ink (check out panel 4 in particular) with little wisps of wild mane or bangs to keep it honest.
