The Lowry
About ComicArt-L
Founded in Oct 1997, the ComicArt-L
is an email discussion list currently hosted via Yahoo!
Groups (formerly Onelist/eGroups). The discussion list is
a place where dealers, collectors, artists and fans discuss
comic book original art - including the original art market
and favorite pieces.
Bruce Lowry Memorial Gallery (Lowry Gallery)
One of the rewards of being a ComicArt-L subscriber and
a registered member of this web site is the opportunity
to share five (5) of your pieces on the web via the Bruce
Lowry Memorial Gallery. The Lowry Gallery is named after
Bruce Lowry who suddenly passed away in Feb 1999. Memorial
contributions can be sent to:

A Brief History
Randy Hoppe was the original webmaster of the site, which
was hosted at fantasty.com. In late 1998, TheArtBoard became
the next web host. Ed Hodder developed the interactive back-end
that allowed members to create and maintain their own online
galleries. In late 2001, TheArtBoard turned the hosting
of the web site over to LongBox.com where the LBS (LongBox.com
Staff) designed and implemented the new incarnation of the
web site and moved it to the ComicArt-L.org domain name.
Wanting to expand the ComicArt-L.org web site beyond the
Lowry Gallery, the ComicArtMuseum.org domain was purchased
in 2003 and became the new home to the ComicArt-L web site,
Lowry Gallery, and few other comic art related services.
Today, comicartfans.com is the proud host to this service
to comic art collectors!
