WELCOME! BON JOUR! WHAT IS UP?
From childhood comic cons paying pennies for Peanuts, to the fabulous Comicart-L and through my Comic Art Attack gallery years to today: a year hasn't gone by that I haven't cherished comic art and the joy it brings me.
I've been a collector since I was 10 years old in the late 70s. I love to trade and have had many great pieces over the years that have come and gone, including X-Men work from John Byrne, DD art from Frank Miller, Neal Adams Batman, Travis Charest Wildcats, Todd McFarlane Spiderman, Jack Kirby Tales To Astonish, John Buscema Avengers/Wolverine and many more.
I joined the Comicart-L when it was in its infancy, and used to be fairly active. Kids and life took over a few years ago, and as they've grown up loving comics and art, my collection has grown up to. I am a huge believer in storytelling, and love the sequential medium. In fact, I am a sucker for a good panel page. Most of my favorite art is from classic stories that I always loved or tell bits of narrative that are flat out cool.
I like examples of artists with iconic inkers: A great story, a great storyteller/designer, and a great finisher adds up to great art!
You'll notice that over the years I've honed my collection down to a ton of Mike Allred Madman and Atomics art and Bruce Timm (and the rest of the original BTAS gang) art, and then Silver into Bronze age standards: Neal Adams/Bernie Wrightson, Infantino/Giella, Sekowsky/Sachs, Toth/Giacoia. Also, look for the Frank Miller/Janson, Mignola, Frank Cho, John Buscema, Bryan Lee O'Malley, Darwyn Cooke and Kirby, too! I hope you like the art contained herewith, more to come — Always!
Enjoy.
