Marty Murphy Original Playboy Art
I'm representing the Estate of Marty Murphy, famed artist, Illustrator, animator, writer and teacher of many types of comic and cartoon art. Marty started in the Golden Age of animation with UPA Studios in the 1950's and went on to create work for Mr. Magoo and others. Eventually he worked with most every major studio, including Hanna-Barbera, Disney & Jim Henson Productions.
His comics were published regularly in Teen, Cosmopolitian, Playgirl and countless other publications. He was a regular contributor to Playboy from 1963 continuing posthomously into 2010.
Marty was an adjunct professor at Cal State Long Beach and Northridge, teaching the next generation of cartoonists and animators. He co-authored two anthologies on cartooning, was exhibited at the UC-Irvine Art Gallery and was a guest of the Steve Allen Show in December, 1963.
Here's a unique opportunity to acquire pieces directly from the artist's estate.
Some additional select Playboy pieces are available, if you e-mail preferences.
