Back in the day (that day being 1967 through about 1973), I bought pretty much every book on the newsstands. I leaned toward Marvel, though I bought 'em all . . . I was an early attendee of the Seuling conventions in NYC, went to the Marvel night at Radio City, and even penned a column for five minutes in The Buyer's Guide to Comic Fandom . . . Today, most of the collection is gone, but I'm starting to play around in the world of original art. A snazzy Silver Surfer by Jack Kirby is (at the moment) my Holy Grail.
