My God, that man was a genius. Such a loss to the art community. His mastery of negatives space and cross-hatching was awe-inspiring. The Headless Horseman was the first real ghost that scared the hell out of me when I was a kid back when I first watched Disney's version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I believe these days it's also known as "Icabod Crane Meets Mr. Toad." His take on the Hessian is incredible; you get that sense of horror and genuine threat he presents. The horse rearing back and the sabre at the ready works magnificently. Awesome acquisition.
