Well said, I spent two 6 month tours on Okinawa, Japan in the mid 80's. When I was a Marine, the nicest & cleanest country I ever had the pleasure to see. Japan & it's people are in my prayers.

Thanks for sharing that. Anytime a disaster happens I think it not only affects just that country but others as well. Hope for the best.

Even though I was born in the Philippines, I spent a large portion of my childhood in Japan after my father joined the Navy and was stationed there. In fact, as a baby just learning to talk, my mother tells me that my first language was actually Japanese! To this day, it remaims my favorite culture. Please send your thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this horrible tragedy. And if you can, donate to the relief effort of your choice! Thanks for posting this and reminding us all of our common humanity.
