Alex Lei

I really liked Alex's inkwork on Birds of Prey and wanted to get an upclose look at his technique. When I finally got some of his pieces in my grubby little fingers, I was not disappointed by all the effort that was obviously put into creating these babies. Even more fortunate for me was that I was able to admire his work via pin-ups of 2 of my favourite DC heroines, Power Girl and Starfire. Now, if only I could get my hands on a Benes/Lei Huntress...;P UPDATE (October 7/05): My quest for more sketches of DC Heroines by Alex continues with the additions of Jade from the Outsiders and the Black Canary. The hunt for the Huntress continues though...! UPDATE (February 23/06): Still no Huntress sketch by the dynamic duo of Benes/Lei, but fortunato has smiled upon me enough to grant me a fantastic solo rendition of the Huntress by Alex himself! All the sketches in this gallery are 11x17 and looking at them all right next to each other just makes me want to add more to the collection! And there's still so many more to go...Zatanna, Supergirl, Fire, Ice, Maxima, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Hawkwoman, Big Barda....;D
