The Hell Lords of the Marvel Universe - Pluto, Mephisto, Satana, Satannish, Hela and Asmodeus - were hunting the 7 billionth individual born on Earth. As per an ancient agreement, whoever kills this person gets to rule over all the Hell dimensions. This 7 billionth individual turns out to be Wolfsbane's son, Tier.

In confusion after Tier's killing Pluto and the remaining Hell Lords turning against each other, Multiple Man went missing. In this splash, it was revealed that he had been abducted by Mephisto and turned into a demon.
