I've always been fond of DC's 70s and 80s Earth-2 stories. So when Roy and Dann created a slew of new characters as All Star Squadron Jr (a la Young All Stars), I was sold from day 1. The book never lived up to its potential but Michael Bair did some great work on it.

This page features Neptune Perkins learning more about his origins and being betrayed. He and Tsunami were a great pair and did a lot to prop up water based heroes at the time. Its a shame that DC never figured out a way to do more with them.

This page is very similar to work Bair was doing on Infinity Inc (which leaned toward McFarlane's work on the series). It was a great moment of betrayal that added some depth to Neptune's character (promise, no pun intended).

Like several other pages from DC produced at the time, this page is on slightly oversized board so it looks really impressive in person. I won this through a Heritage Auction.

Awesome page Christopher! I really enjoyed YAS when it was coming out. I don't think I appreciated Bair's work as much as I do now. Great win. Congrats!
