Description
Another page from the wider Phalanx Covenant crossover to add to the collection. A welcome addition with Ken Lashley’s pencils from early on in his career. Ticks a few more boxes being a decent size splash of Havok, striking the Cap’n Morgan pose with plenty of 90’s detail, rocking 90’s style hair. Also cool that it has the old thought bubbles, which I miss in comics these days. I felt like they gave more connection to the character/storyline. That or maybe I’m just being nostalgic. I can’t recall when they started to phase them out.

If there was any time to jump onto the Excalibur title, this was it.  They had the storylines that crossed over to each mutant title and people ate it up!  Lashley definitely got introduced to a bigger audience through this and he knew he had to deliver art that rivaled what was being done in the big titles.  It's a definitive Havok image of the time and he looks as beefed, strapped, collared, and brooded up as well as any other mutant hero of the time.

I also share a lot of love from the Phalanx saga and its many cross over issues.  It was a really great time to enjoy comics and these very complicated stories that had many effects even years later.
