Black Cat by Daniel Acuna

I’ve been a fan of Daniel’s art since his early work on Bendis’ Avengers all the way through his most recent Avengers: Twilight story with Zdarsky. I got a quickie sketch from Daniel a long long time ago at the DC booth at one of the very first NYCCs, but as far as I recall, I don’t think he’s made it back for another NYCC. Also never saw much evidence that he did commissions, so just assumed he didn’t. Earlier this year, I noticed that he was now repped by Black Diamond and noticed they had a rate sheet up, so I inquired as to whether Daniel was actually taking commissions. To my surprise, he was so I signed up for one immediately. I love the pose he drew on top of the money, just screams Felicia. It took him some time to get a pose and composition he liked, but I think he nailed it here. The ink wash effects in the final product are striking as well.
