Description
Enchanting splash page featuring a touching scene where Lafronce, a young boy with an absent mother who is involved with gangs, imagines a heartfelt conversation with Spider-Man as a means to escape his bleak reality. This final splash page features Spider-Man removing his mask to reveal the first ever appearance of the character as a black man. From a story by Paul Jenkins, preceding the first appearance of Miles Morales by 10 years, and written during his remarkable run on Peter Parker: Spider-Man, where he delivered some of the most poignant narratives of the series.
