Description

Gordon Hogg (1912-1973), who signed his work as 'Gog', took over the

Pop comic strip from J. Millar Watt in 1949, when Watt retired from drawing his creation. This particular example of

Pop, from 1953, appeared in the sole collection of Gog's work, Pop At His Best!, in the mid 1950s. The strip does a very nice job of carrying on Watt's tradition of a spare line combined with a wonderful sense of narration.
