2007 Christmas Card

Here is the 2007 edition of the Avila Christmas Card, starring the 'kids' Serena & Bernice. Bernice is the brindle Pug/Boston Terrier Mix on the left; Serena's the Pekingese trying to get the Hulk to notice her :)
It also features a few of my favorite Marvel heroes, including the first-ever Dazzler appearance on one of my cards.
I commissioned Josef Rubinstein and his frequent artistic collaborator Yvel Guichet pencilled this beauty. Jess Kindzerski colored it to finish it off. This was my first time working with Joe (and Yvel and Jess) and it won't be the last. They were great to work with, patient and understanding with my many 'suggestions.'
We hear so much on the List about commissions gone bad but Joe is a real pro. He does great work and treats a deadline as it should be treated -- with respect.
