Brother Sebastian was a long running feature that Chon Day drew for Look magazine. This particular original ran in 1955, the year after the feature began in Look. The gag is just picture-perfect, the kind that Day relied. Beautiful, simplified line drawing, supported by a lovely watercolor wash, and wrapped up with a wonderful sight gag. Great stuff.
This cartoon was reprinted in Day's 1961 book, "Brother Sebastian at Large".
