Description
Done in Toronto, August 2004 by G.I. Joe artist Tim Seeley. Comics featuring updates of 80's cartoons are hot right now and include such titles as He-Man, Transformers, Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Battle of the Planets and Voltron. However the two cartoons I loved the most as a kid - She-ra and Defenders of the Earth - still await to be updated in the comics. As a kid I always loved Frosta from She-ra and secretly wanted a Frosta doll, but was afraid to ask for one considering it was a girls toy (twenty years later I'd spend three times as much purchasing one on e-bay). It happened that Tim Seeley is a big fan of everything He-Man and when I pulled out a dorky image of Frosta scanned from a She-ra colouring book that I found on the internet Tim was rather amused. He told me that anytime I wanted anything from She-ra drawn to just bring it to him - and he gave me five dollars off the commission (mainly because he couldn't break two twenties). Later Chantal and I were interviewed by Ed the Sock. When showing Ed this piece and telling him it was done by G.I Joe artist Tim Seeley Ed responded "Well thats not G.I. Joe." Indeed its not.
