Octobriana, by Bryan Talbot

Russian revolutionary she-devil Octobriana is a supporting character in Byran Talbot's graphic novel The Adventures of Luther Arkwright. In addition, she is also a character with a very colorful background, one who, if you believe the stories told, was created by a group of dissident underground Russian cartoonists in the 1960s. That origin is probably an urban legend and/or a hoax, but nevertheless the character and her background were distinctive enough for Talbot to utilize Octobriana in his Arkwright series. She has also appeared in a miniseries penned by John A. Short, and was tattooed on the arm of Brit rocker Billy Idol.

Octobriana is definitely one of the most unique creations in the history of comic books, as well as one of the most sexy. So I was thrilled to obtain an illo of the character from the artist who did one of the definitive interpretations of the character.
