This is where it all started with Eduardo Risso: the first page I bought from him at SDCC2000, if memory helps.

It was my second year with a booth at the con, and I was actively hunting him down to buy something from him for my own collection. When I managed to find him at the DC booth, I asked if he had any and told him to come see me when his signing session was over. He did, I put money in his hands and he asked if I thought there could be someone else interested in his art. My smile got as wide as Texas, I took the small stash he had with him and proceeded to sell almost half of it by the end of the show. He was there with his wife minutes before closing time, and I was talking to a lady who seemed to be interested in a page: I sold her three, and then Eduardo asked me "Would you take the rest home with you?".

After 900 pages sold from the various series he worked on in the meantime, 100 Bullets is -at the time I'm writing this- about ended, and we're both looking forward to what he's gonna work on next.

Ah. So that's what started it all! Great story, Enrico. And a great page. Thanks for sharing. If memory serves, SD 2000 was the show I first met you at, but I hadn't been bitten by the Risso bug yet....
