X-23 14 cover by Kalman ANDRASOFSZKY

When I saw that cover in the solicitations, I was wowed by it. When I held the comic in my hands, the sentiment got stronger. And when Kalman did a sale on his covers last year, I knew I could not pass it up. The intensity of the scene is incredible here as well as the conflicting emotions. In one corner, we have X-23 full of anger and sure that she can take the Thing on, and in another corner we have Ben Grimm looking down on her, asking himself what the fuck does that midget wants with me. The fact that Kalman played Grimm's proportions to make him HUGE compared to her is excellent. His arms are insanely long to strengthen that fact. .Love the concept and the execution :) It also reminded me of a cover I loved as a teen by JrJr with the Thing blowing his cigar's smoke in the Hulk's face. All around a great and intense cover :)
