Venom - Frank Cho

What else can I say? It's a grail in every possible way. First - thanks to Frank for selling this piece to me. It'll be treasured for the rest of my life.

Frank announced some time ago that he wouldn't do any commissions at Calgary. So I therefore asked him if he'd be willing to sell me a piece I saw on his site a few months back. To my extreme excitement - he said yes!

Frank has been a longtime favorite illustrator of mine - his paintings and art are just astonishing. One day I hope to get a lady commission from Frank - but getting my second favorite Spiderman villain from him is just as amazing. :P

The scan doesn't do the piece justice - it's huge! Almost two feet long and more than 12 inches across. And the detail on it is insane! Venom never looked better in my opinion.

And Frank is so awesome when I picked it up he added more detail to it! The original pinup was less finished and did not have the trail of destruction (Frank asked if I wanted something more to it - since I didn't want to trouble him more - I simply asked for a trail of destruction even though I almost asked for Mary Jane running away in terror :P)
