This painting was created by Scott as a personal piece. Published in the book Lands and Legends.

I saw this on Scott's web site and was immediately hooked. To me it had a historical feel and kind of reminded me of famous biblical paintings I've seen.

Scott had this to say about the painting:
"... a historical feel was what I had in mind when creating it. I looked at lots of classical paintings and many pre-raphaelites (some of my favorite artists!) while coming up with the idea and composition. Playing with ideas of life and death as in the theme, and making the woman and old man into almost a Pietá I think also help with the historical feel."

Above and beyond the extreme talent, Scott's an oustanding great guy too.
