Description
This was published in the 1971 San Diego Comic Con Program I believe. Cool sketch featuring Sergio's rendition of Aquaman, Superman, Green Lantern and Batman!

It's been almost a year. Ever find out the gag? (GREAT piece BTW)

No ! And I met Sergio at the Motor City Comic Con and forgot to ask him. I'll e-mail Mark Evanier about it.

Just a guess - maybe the gag is to do with the superheroes overshadowing the actual guests of honour ( the guys in the lower right corner) with their bulk and the photographer does not know how to tell them to back off.

That's what I was guessing also. Nice work!

You got it - The little guy with the goatee is supposed to be Al Jafee, a colleague of Aragones. Run an image search on Google and you can find other drawings of him. The humor is lost unless you were a regular reader of MAD Magazine in the 70s and 80s. :-)
