DescriptionVery excited to post this lovely Hirschfeldian take on everyone’s favorite techno-organic New Mutant. I was really grabbed by the eyes, face, and hair with this one. I love the tight cross-hatching on the face here, and it’s always so fascinating to see how artists interpret the stylings of the great Bill Sienkiewicz. I’m thrilled to add this to the collection! As an additional image, I included another Warlock, this time a hand-colored print by the artist (sorry the color is really off: imagine a highlighter-like yellow…. I’ll try re-posting after tweaking some scanner settings!). Thanks as always for your great work, Doctor Fantastic! Social/Sharing |

Your rock + roll, friend. It is noise pollution. Self doesn't think much of your greatest hits. See? Humor. Ba-dum --

Wow, this really IS a really neat take on everyone's favourite techno-organism! Quite Hirschfeldian, too, as you say! Both drawingss are really neat. Nice pickup, Jason!

TV Test patterns, gears, computer buttons, battery covers, and all manner of retro futurism all represented here as something wholly new and fresh!

Fantastic Hirschfeldian take as you said. I feel like it could be a TV Guide cover heralding a Warlock variety show.

A Hirschfeld Warlock? That's such a great concept. Those eyes are especially cool. Man, how great would it be to have a Marvel series in that style? Great idea and execution. Very cool find. Congrats!

Warlock is such a difficult character to capture because he represents the idiosyncrasies of his brilliant creator, Bill Sienkiewicz! This is a gorgeous version that lives up to Bill's ideal. Big congratulations, my friend!

Warlock must be such a blast to draw. Schweiker's take tips his hat to past interpretations and yet is all his own. Good eye, Hussanator, good eye as always!
