Description
Done in the style of Hale's other black head studies, this unusual example is 20 x 20 inches, VERY LARGE. Nearly double the size he usually works these heads. Striking and complex, this head has all the best features of his black head series. It's big and it's cool. Painted on an archivally treated wood birch-box panel. Signed on reverse and dated 2014.
