I think you have a Stat to every DC cover I loved as a kid. I still remember buying this book off the rack at the convenience store jst before I was going to school. I also bought a chocolate milk. I also bought the Marvel Tales that reprinted the first punisher appearance... which I think also had a Zeck cover. And this was before I even understood different artists etc. I know they are "just Stats" but if you ever want to sell this or the Killing Joke one... I would love to have them.

I remember talking to Mike when he was in the middle of drawing this one. He told me he thought he went a little too crazy on the backgrounds and that DC was getting a lot more than their money's worth for the amount of effort he put into this one, but it was the first time he officially got to draw Batman. Luckily it ended up getting collected into a portfolio which helped Mike make a few extra bucks... Ah, if he had only kept the original!
