This series tells the strenuous attempt of a journalist, Spider Jerusalem (dashed along the lines of journalist Hunter Thompson), to tell the truth to an American society always indifferent and uninterested in politics. It is the story of the crusade of a man armed only by his words against lies fanaticism and social injustice. The language used is rich in insults, imprecations and scatological humor, it is one of the most scurrilous in the history of comics; scurrility, however, partly justified by the purity of the hero's soul and the mission pursued by opposition to the powerful.
