Description
pencil and ink on Bristol board
16 h × 10¼ w in (41 × 26 cm)
estimate: $4,000–6,000

A pivotal page from the final issue of Machine Man illustrated by the King himself—Jack Kirby—with inking by longtime collaborator Mike Royer. This story page captures the dramatic turning point in the Living Robot’s arc, as the narrative builds toward its crossover conclusion in Incredible Hulk #235. The issue stars Machine Man, Peter Spalding, and Colonel Kragg, and introduces the Corporation members Konik, Duke, and Mungo.

The page closes a chapter in Kirby’s Marvel return, accompanied by a unique editorial note: this is "the last issue of Machine Man… possibly," as Kirby left the title to focus on storyboarding the all-new Fantastic Four cartoon series. A historic piece from the twilight of Kirby’s late-’70s Marvel tenure, rich with thematic gravity and visual dynamism.

Condition Notes: Overall very good condition. Top left and bottom left corners trimmed.
