Great page from the first issue capped off by that sweet final panel as you pointed out - Dr. Strange is practically exhibiting Bat behaviour there! :) - congrats on another stellar Bachalo addition buddy!
Great page! Now post that Immonen ASM page, Mysterio!
I really liked that run (though not, like you, the humorish tone so much, nor the axe) and that last panel really does it for me on this fun page that somehow echoes Alice entering Wonderland to me.
Nice pick up! Congrats!
Yes, the last panel is a doozy. But when it comes to the most effective use of Tim's gorgeous blacks, it doesn't get much better than the ominous mood of that dark and empty doorway in panel 4.
The Doctor holds the fan inside you
I wanna take Townsend that's true
I look to you and I come knocking
I look to you to see the truth
You live your life, you go Bachalo
You'll come for art and you'll go blind
Some kind of lines into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not feared
Fade in issue
Strange you Zelma knew
Fade into you
I think it's Strange you never knew
Bachalo really made the good Doctor his own in the best way.
Bachalo did such a wonderful job on this series. Love every page!
A really interesting take. The expressions are delightful, with the initial trepidation about entering the Sanctum Sanctorum being so appropriate for a first issue - and an introduction to new readers about the perils of Strange's magic. Likewise the caution and suspicion on Wong's face is just right. Nice pick-up.
How does he eat meatballs when he's upside down like that without making a mess? Magic, I guess.
Awesome page! I need to get a DS page soon!
They had Dr Strange wisecracking in this series? Thanks for letting me know which series I will definitely never, ever in a trillion years, read. Great stuff to look at though, and congrats on landing a page from issue #1!
Alright, from issue 1?! Bachalo left a lasting mark on the Doc with his run and pages like this are why. It all started here! Congrats!
