Description
>WROK!<
Finally, a Byrne Wolverine series page!
I had only one mandate for finding a Byrne Wolverine series page: TIGER SHARK!
Note to Self: Next time, remember the mandate needs to actually include the series title character as well! But wait, I spy Wolverine! There’s a lil’ splotch of ink near the exclamation “¡Puerco!” Oh wait, maybe that’s Patch? I’ve long enjoyed the character design for Tiger Shark. It’s that badass cranial fin (you too Yondu!), and I’d steal it in a heartbeat for my character Fin Man®! Also, I loved the concept for Acts of Vengeance with all the switching up of heroes and villains, making a lil’ fracas called Wolverine vs. Tiger Shark! Anyways, isn’t Tiger Shark supposed to have those little spikey fins down the side of his bad guy wetsuit? Well, here’s Byrne’s margin notes to Janson, “Klaus = If you were to accidentally forget to ink the spikes on Tiger Shark’s legs the world would be a better place for it.”
Oopsie, and there they went!

Love, love, love Tiger Shark!  Two of my all time favorite comic covers are Sub-Mariner issues #5 & #6 by the great John Buscema (I actually had a shot at buying the #5 about 40 years ago, but totally dropped the ball).  Anyway, great title splash and love the Janson inks of course.

A pier 6 brawl!  Tiger shark has the advantage in locale!  Brilliant Byrne action anatomy!

I love the scratchy Janson inks! And ouch, you can really feel that punch from Tiger Shark. Brutal. Nice title splash!

Big Tiger Shark fan as well so even if Janson inking Byrne was not my fav', interesting that it was, this makes for a great splash.

I owned this for decades and still feel a twinge of sellers remorse. Glad it found a good home!

Wow man! What a comb! So many "Mohawked" characters we all love! I like so much Byrne/Janson combo! That is so good!

Killer title splash by John Byrne and Klaus Janson! Great compostion, terrific inks and most importantly, it features Tiger Shark. He's never looked fiercer IMHO. And even though Wolverine doesn't show up, it's still a badass cover in my book. Great pick-up, congrats!

Great action page with one of Marvels wildest villains (and one of the most fierce "costumes") with strong Janson finishing, huge congrats for this hard hitting example !
