This is David M. Bowers' wonderful cover art for Linda Nagata's 2003 sci-fi novel "Memory", published by Tor. I love Bower's work. It's got a touch of the great Dutch romantics and surrealists in his application of paint.

Provenance: The personal collection of Edward J. Grzybowski. Ed was co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg. He was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts, particularly 20th century design.
